Knitting Needles and Wool

Materials Required For Knitting

Always buy the brand of yarn specified in the instructions. Substituting brand names will only lead to difficulties and incorrect fit. Remember that a certain ply produced by one manufacturer may not necessarily correspond with a similar ply produced by another manufacturer.

Needles

To ensure that your work is even, use ‘Aero’ brand knitting needles which are made from a lightweight alloy metal and are clearly marked. The length of needle you choose is important also – e.g., 14 in (35.6 cm) length needles are adequate for knitting an average size lady’s or man’s sweater or jacket.
